Woody Keppel

I started performing in the mid-1980s, first with Sarah Caldwellโ€™s Opera Company of Boston and then with Waldo & Woodhead, a comedy, music, and juggling show I co-founded with Paul Burke, and performed for audiences in 32 countries. I began producing events on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1986, the same year I co-founded the Hawaiian Vaudeville Festival. In 2008, I created the Festival of Fools with Burlington City Arts, which continues to this day to wow and amuse festival goers (over 1 million festival goers to date). When the pandemic closed everything down, I started hosting events on my little mountaintop in Charlotte, VT, called โ€œMt Foolery." It's a special place for people of all ages to come together and immerse themselves in art and nature.

I started performing with the Opera Company of Boston in the mid-eighties and soon after co-founded Waldo & Woodhead, a comedy, music, and juggling show that lasted 22 years and entertained audiences on stage and film in over 30 countries. I began producing & performing at festivals and events on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1986. I co-founded the Hawaiian Vaudeville Festival in 1986, and the Festival of Fools in Burlington, VT in 2007. When the pandemic closed everything down, there at once was nowhere to perform or any place to go for a performance, so I started hosting events on my little mountain top in Charlotte, VT, called โ€œMt Foolery.โ€ Itโ€™s a special place to gather and hosting events here is one of the pleasures of my life.
