I started performing in the mid-1980s, first with Sarah Caldwell’s Opera Company of Boston and then with Waldo & Woodhead, a comedy, music, and juggling show I co-founded with Paul Burke, and performed for audiences in 32 countries. I began producing events on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1986, the same year I co-founded the Hawaiian Vaudeville Festival. In 2008, I created the Festival of Fools with Burlington City Arts, which continues to this day to wow and amuse festival goers (over 1 million festival goers to date). When the pandemic closed everything down, I started hosting events on my little mountaintop in Charlotte, VT, called “Mt Foolery." It's a special place for people of all ages to come together and immerse themselves in art and nature.
